When I was a kid, my parents regaled me with stories of cafeteria lunches that were as good if not better than a home cooked meal. Even as a santa-clause advocating. tooth fairy believing naive young boy, I knew that these mythical “delicious” lunches must have been folklore, or false memories at best; and though I deemed my school lunches to be a beaten track of average, peppered with mushy gross notes of flavor here and there, I feel as though the modern day has brought about new adjectives to describe what the education system perceives to be “nutritious.”
What are some of the adjectives you frequently use when referring to cafeteria lunches? What do you like about school lunches? What do you hate? What is your ideal school lunch?

school lunches of the most of the time taste either goss or ok i mostly eat it because i, hungry..sometimes it’ll taste good. lunch to me is something that taste good.
I think school lunches are gross, disgusting, yucky, and horrible! At some schools you can buy your own lunch but for people who can’t offered it and it sucks for those people. My idea of school lunch is just prison food.
I don’t really pay attention to school lunch let alone describe it but if it looks alright I’ll eat it or just get a salad. My ideal school lunch is taking a trip to mcdonalds and ordering one of everything on their menu.
When referring to school food I usually say garbage, but the lunch given at school is pathetic and hard to believe they expect us to put it in our mouths. I think out of the entire menu I favor the fruit the most and my ideal lunch would be canned food.

I don’t really enjoy the school food, however i try to avoid eating fast food a lot. I do have a weakness for pasta though.
Simple, gross, okay. I like that its food, because food is food. I hate undercooked or overcooked food..
What refer my school food to be old,i think it smells like gasoline, Is it even cooked, why is it brown, I think i wold wait the whole to go home and eat than eat at my school. I just want something that taste good and cooked and hot and doesn’t feel soggy. My ideal school lunch would have to be a good crispy pizza that hasn’t been reheated up. Basically all of their foods are soggy, disgusting, burnt, smelly. What I like abut school lunches, probably only the milk. What do I hate? Just everything about the school lunches. My ideal school lunch,mmm.. I don’t know exactly. Just more healthy lunches that are fully cooked and not soggy.
Hm. I would describe it as “Interesting”. I guess the lunches are okay. I hate the amount of grease it has at times.
Actually, the food at my last school was pretty good. Here? Not so much. It’s overcooked and mushy and gross. I like the salads but that’s about it. I dislike how the quality is poor. My ideal lunch would be the lunches like at my last school where things are properly cooked and had a variety

lunch…. what can you say about lunch?……. Its very fakeish, weird, elementryish. Sometimes i like that the school lunches dont taste awful but they do most of the time. I hate when they changed like the pasta and bread to the wheat ones like its just disgusting. I dont know, i would say mcdonalds but people think that its just as bad as cafeteria food.

I think the school lunches are kinda gross because it’s edible at least. I would say it’s flavorless and dry. I think if we used fresh fruit and learned proper ways of cooking and keeping everything clean then I would love it! My ideal lunch would be chicken pot pie.
